Romosozumab for Women with Hormone Receptor Positive (ER+ and/or PR+) Metastatic Breast Cancer That Has Spread to the Bones with Osteoporosis

A Phase II Study Evaluating the Efficacy and Safety of Romosozumab as a Bone-Modifying Agent in Patients With Metastatic Breast Cancer to Bones and Osteoporosis With High Fracture Risk (REMOLD-Breast)

Purpose: This trial is studying whether romosozumab (Evenity®), a bone building medicine, can help build new bone, reduce bone breakdown, and safely treat osteoporosis (weak or thinning bones) in people whose breast cancer has spread to the bones.

Who is this for?: People with metastatic (stage IV) hormone receptor positive (ER+ and/or PR+) breast cancer that has spread to the bones, and who also have osteoporosis with a high risk of fracture. You must be receiving endocrine (hormone) therapy, with or without targeted therapy (such as a CDK4/6 inhibitor, a PI3K inhibitor, or anti HER2 therapy). You must not have already received a bone modifying agent (such as IV bisphosphonates or denosumab) for bone metastases. You must be receiving care at a Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center location. View full eligibility criteria
