MRI to Help Detect Breast Cancer That Has Spread to the Lining of the Brain and Spinal Cord (Leptomeningeal Disease)

Optimizing Contrast Dose and Scanning Parameters for Detection of Leptomeningeal Disease

Purpose: To learn whether a contrast agent called gadopiclenol (VUEWAY®), used during an MRI, can help doctors detect leptomeningeal disease earlier. Leptomeningeal disease is when cancer spreads to the thin layers of tissue (the leptomeninges) that cover the brain and spinal cord.

Who is this for?: People with metastatic (stage IV) breast cancer who may have leptomeningeal disease. You must be receiving care at MD Anderson Cancer Center. This trial is also enrolling people with other types of cancer. View full eligibility criteria
